Blessings Upon Blessings Upon Blessings

Hand Engraved Platinum Ring

Finally it is the time to have the whole year in review: our wins, our successes, our loses and our failures. Take it all as a blessing. For a year is just a slice of time in a whole life. Look how far we have all come.

The last few years have been a challenge to say the least, yet I was moved and touched by all the couples that persevered and got married. Could I not be more inspired to work harder to make the most challenging circumstances more celebratory? This pomegranate platinum ring was a wonderful creative challenge as I was given free reign to match a groom’s ring. The groom had created an engraved wedding band for himself, however the jeweler had retired by 2022. How could we create the bride’s wedding band to compliment the groom’s band?

Everything is possible in New York’s Diamond District. I requested videos and images of the engravings in the groom’s wedding band and I sent it over to the hand engraver. I told him to feel free but make it elegant. The ring came out just as the bride and I had hoped for: feminine, elegant and timeless. A one of a kind wedding band. Just like my bride.

An ancient fruit: the pomegranate tree or shrub has dark green glossy leaves and beautiful flowers with crinkled petals ranging in color from pale pink to bright orange-red. When ripened, the fruit of the pomegranate is bright red and about the size of an orange. The scarlet flesh of the fruit has a sweet-to-tart taste and contains many nutrients. When fully ripened, the pomegranate bursts open, and the numerous seeds pour out.

Imagine seeds of blessings pouring out into your life. Seeds of fruitfulness and prosperity. As the year comes to a close and we dream, wish and pray into the new year: I pray “blessings upon blessing upon blessings in all your lives”. May there be an inundation of goodness in your lives.

If you are moved to work with a jewelry designer, I encourage you to always push the limits on creativity. Be fearless. Why put in all the hard work and commitment to create what is already out there in the world? Let the symbol of your love be as unique and timeless as your love story. ❤️
